Part of our World War One series, and the art piece that started Little War Horse, the Besties graphic depicts the undying friendship and unbreakable bonds of war between soldier and horse. 8 million horses lost their lives across the globe during the perils of World War One. Everything from famine, exhaustion, artillery fire and poisoned gas claimed the brave souls of everything from trained cavalry mounts, to family pets, to farm horses. Their willingness and bravery to follow their comrades into battle shaped our history. We are forever grateful. Lest we forget.
